Are we too distracted for war? Behold the consequences of the information age … we communicate with more people but deeper relationships are harder to come by, everyone’s in the loop on the latest news but we rarely take the time to understand. War requires a very deep — albeit negative — relationship, but why hate one when you can hate multitudes, so best not bother with any of them. And war requires a cause, one that people will get behind, but good-luck keeping their attention for a few minutes let alone getting them ramped up for the war-path. So next time you get caught up in a frenzy of World War III predictions just remember cat videos and the next mindless tweet from your favorite celebrity are actually antidotes to said frenzy, and we’ve got plenty of that to go around …
